Greetings from Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI).
DCCI has been playing wide-ranging critical roles entailing improved policy formulation, reforms on simplification of taxation system, local industrialization, cross-border trade facilitation, regional economic integration, private and foreign investment for continuous improvement of enabling business eco-system of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh was globally positioned as the development role model as an economic surprise marking 8% plus growth until the pre-COVID-19 time. Despite COVID-19 stress, Bangladesh has registered remarkable 5.47% GDP growth in FY2021 backed by strong economic fundamentals and resilience absorbing economic shock and became the 3rd largest growth performing economy as per the IMF. Bangladesh is also poised to become a developing nation by 2026 and a developed one by 2041.
In view of the above, we are delighted to inform you that DCCI in association with Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh, is going to organize a week-long international virtual summit titled “Bangladesh Trade and Investment and Summit” from October 26 to 01 November, 2021. This trade & investment week will deepen collaboration of Bangladesh and the traders and investors from 50 countries representing 6 regions such as- Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Oceania for exploring total business opportunities in 9 priority sectors- Infrastructure (Physical, logistics & Energy), IT/ITES & Fintech, Leather goods, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive & Light Engineering, Plastic products, Agro & food processing, Jute & Textiles, FMCG & Retail Business. Approximately 160 B2B sessions are planned to be held in summit.
We are very delighted to inform you that Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, MP, Govt. of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh has kindly given consent to inaugurate the Summit on 26th October, 2021.
